Absences & Cancellations

​

·  If you know in advance you will miss a class (work conflict, vacation, appointment, illness) it is very much appreciated if you let me know as early as possible as this may allow someone else to use that space for a make up class. 

​

·  If you or your child is unwell (fever, diarrhea, vomiting, skin sores or unexplained rash, thick green or yellow nasal discharge, general malaise) the best place for you is at home where you can rest and recover.  If you are experiencing any COVID-19 related symptoms, please follow the current Ontario guidelines.  â€‹

​

·  Our members-only GROUPME thread allows you to make-up missed classes by joining another age-appropriate class when there is an opening.  Sign up to be notified of same-day class openings via the GroupMe* App. Any open spaces day-of will be shared in the GroupMe thread. If you have not missed a class, please wait a few minutes to allow those who have missed a class time to claim the spot, after which anyone who wishes to attend and the opening is age-appropriate can claim the space.  Enrolled families will receive the sign-up link; please reach out to Mrs. Deb if you need a re-send.  *Please note that using through App or Desktop is recommended.  Fees for SMS (texting) may be charged by GroupMe.  Read GroupMe's full terms and conditions for full details.

·  Make-up classes can be used by siblings in the same family, even if the sibling is not currently enrolled in a class.  

​

·  Missed classes cannot be collected and used towards future experiences.  

​

· Make-up classes/GROUPME thread access is an enrollment perk. Once your enrollment ends, please leave the GROUPME thread.  
 

·  There are no refunds for absences from classes for any reason, including single-enrollment experiences.   Missed classes cannot be collected and used towards future experiences.  

​

· If your family misses three consecutive weekly classes without connecting with Mrs. Deb via GroupMe, email, or phone your family will be unenrolled at the end of the current month.  

​

·  Once enrolled your space is saved for you for the entire term, however you are not locked in.  To end your enrollment before the end of the term, send an email to kindermusikwithmrsdeb@gmail.com before the end of the current month.  For example, if you wish January to be your final month, send your cancellation email before the end of January.  The more time you can give for the administrative tasks of ending your enrollment and opening the space to a new family is very much appreciated.

·  If you have special circumstances or compassionate reasons, please reach out so we can work together for your unique situation.

Class Cancellations

​

· In the event that the studio is closed for any reason, affected classes will be notified via class email, a post in GROUPME, with a post on Facebook , Instagram and a sign will also be posted on the studio entrance door

​

· In general, the studio only closes for weather if local public schools are closed and classes typically run as usual on no bus days.  Always use your own good judgement before heading out in wintry weather based on conditions where you live.

​

· It is the responsibility of the parent/ caregiver to ensure that they are aware of closures; Kindermusik With Mrs. Deb will be diligent about informing families, but cannot be held responsible if the notifications are not seen.

​

· In general, when the studio is closed and classes are cancelled outside of scheduled closures (winter break, march break), a credit is issued to your account to be applied to future tuition payments. Full details will be provided to affected families.
